Families on the city’s southeast side can find free school-supply bags at Fletcher Place Community Center’s next parking lot event.
The community center expects to give out 40 to 50 bags while supplies last.
The event will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 25 in the parking lot behind Fletcher Place Community Center, 1637 Prospect St.

How you can help
The community center is also looking to bolster its supply of hygiene products.
The center is seeking travel-sized items. Products in high demand include:
- Toothpaste
- Toothbrushes
- Deodorant
- Body wash or bar soap
- Lotion

The community center will use these items to create and deliver hygiene kits.
