Indy residents can travel on public transportation for free on Thanksgiving, Christmas and after 8 p.m. on New Year’s Eve. There are about 15,000 trips taken on public transportation during the holidays.
“This is a great opportunity to remove barriers for riders, and also a good opportunity to provide safety during the holiday season,” Lise Pace, secretary of IndyGo’s Board of Directors, said at the November meeting of the seven-person IndyGo Service Committee.
