IndyGo will spend more $2 million to improve bus stops across the city, adding benches, shelters and ramps. At a November meeting, the transit authority’s finance committee voted to pay the Shuck Corporation $1.9 million to improve bus stops at 56 locations. They will also install pedestrian traffic signal improvements along Lafayette Road.

IndyGo will also team up with Kimley-Horn & Associates Inc. to design improvements to 40 bus stops on the Near East Side.

The finance board approved several other motions at their November meeting, including the purchase of an additional 15,000 gallons of diesel fuel and the purchase of a new electric vehicle charging system at the Carson Transit Center.
