As open enrollment begins and some Hoosiers brace for higher health insurance premiums next year, people can learn more about health care options from 10 a.m. to noon Oct. 25 at Pike Township Government Center, 5665 Lafayette Road

“We’ll talk about what to do next,” said Susan Jo Thomas, the executive director of Covering Kids and Families, an organization that will share resources at the event. The group helps Indiana residents apply for health insurance and stay on their plans.

Health insurance navigators will be present and participants can schedule appointments with them.

Other speakers include State Senator J.D. Ford, a Democrat from Indianapolis and Gloria Sachdev, Indiana’s secretary of health and human services.

Breakfast is provided.
