Westsiders can celebrate culture and get vaccines at Wayne Township’s annual Language Assistance Program Family Night.
Wayne Township’s Language Assistance Program is an offering that provides specialized support for students who are learning English.
Every year, the program puts on a celebration of culture. This year’s event is called Cultural Carnival and will feature live music, balloon twisting, face painting, giveaways and games.
There will also be a free immunization clinic onsite, open to everyone in the Wayne Township community.
The beginning of the school year is an especially important time to check-in on your child’s vaccines given certain requirements must be met as kids age through school.

Family Night runs from 6-8 p.m. Sept. 3 at Chapel Hill 7th & 8th Grade Center, 7320 W. 10th St. Vaccines will be administered in the school gymnasium.
The Cultural Carnival and immunization clinic are open to all Wayne Township families regardless of whether children are part of the Language Assistance Program. More information is available on the school district’s website.
