Indianapolis students looking for extra help with homework or planning for the future can now find assistance at the Center for Leadership Development’s weekly walk-in hours.

The free tutoring and counseling services are available to students in fourth through 12th grades.

Available services include 30-minute tutoring sessions, guidance counseling and homework help. Tutors can help with math, science and English classes, and the center offers both in-person and virtual options.

Services are offered on a first-come, first serve basis at the Center for Leadership Development, 2425 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. St.

The center’s weekly schedule includes tutoring on the following days:

  • 4:30-5:30 p.m. Mondays in person, fourth through sixth grade English
  • 5-6 p.m. Mondays via Zoom, English at all grade levels
  • 5:15-6:15 p.m. Tuesdays in person, sixth through 12th grade English
  • 5-6 p.m. Wednesdays in person, math up to Algebra II and biology
  • 6-7 p.m. Wednesdays in person, math up to pre-calculus and science
  • 6:30-7:30 p.m. Thursdays in person, math up to Algebra II and English language arts

The center also offers the following rotating services this month in person on Saturdays:

  • 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 11, guidance counseling and fourth to sixth grade English
  • 10 a.m. to noon Oct. 18, math up to pre-calculus and science
  • 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 18, math up to Algebra II, English language arts and biology
  • 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 25, guidance counseling and sixth to 12th grade English.
