Indy families can pick up school supplies, including books and backpacks, and learn about community resources in a weekend back-to-school event.

Local nonprofit You Feed Them Missional Food Pantry is having its seventh annual Back-to-School Community Resource Day from noon to 4 p.m. Aug. 10. The event at 900 W. 30th St. will feature resources from community partners, food and fun activities for families in Marion County.

Highlights include food, dancing, face painting, information about voter registration and raffles for bicycles and other prizes. A Church Community Clothing Ministry will also be open.

Walk-up attendance is welcome. All adult visitors must have a child ages 4 to 17 years old present with them.
